Professor Radu Blaga graduated from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) of Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2001. He completed his training in Host-Parasites interactions within the French Agency of Food Safety (Anses) where he obtained a PhD thesis in 2007.

At present, Radu Blaga is professor within the Parasitology and Mycology Unit of the Veterinary College of Alfort (EnvA) and Resident of the European Veterinary Parasitology College. He develops his research activity at the Joint Research Unit Bipar (EnvA, ANSES, INRAe), where he is the leader of the Toxoplasma group.
